Rhys Barnes

Rhys has experience working at two strategic communications consultancies, working on a variety of clients in areas such as crisis communications and public affairs. He also has worked in the administrative arm of the charity Benslow Music Trust. Prior to his professional career Rhys completed an MSc in Sociology at the University of Oxford and completed a BA in Politics and Sociology at the University of Warwick.  

Rhys has worked for two Labour MPs, Stephen Twigg and Bambos Charalambous as well as for a Labour Member of the Welsh Senedd, Rhiannon Passmore with a specific focus on researching and progressing Passmore’s report ‘Developing a Music Education Strategy for Wales’. He is an active campaigner for his local Labour Party in Chipping Barnet in North London.
