Pete Bowyer

Pete Bowyer is one of the UK’s leading public affairs consultants with over 30 years’ experience in public policy influencing, strategic communications and political campaigning. His previous consultancy roles include senior director at Weber Shandwick, co-founder and executive director at Apex Communications, managing partner at Maitland Political, and partner and head of public affairs at DRD Partnership.

Over his time as a political consultant, Pete has advised multi-national corporations, leading UK businesses, large pension funds, magic circle law firms, high net worth individuals, charitable foundations and a variety of other organisations on a whole range of public policy issues. 

Pete has been an active member of the Labour Party for the last forty years. He was a Parliamentary researcher to a Shadow Minister in the mid-1990s, a Labour press officer during the 1997 General Election, a business relations adviser to the party during the 2001 General Election and an elected Labour councillor for eleven years. He has been an adviser on a number of leadership and deputy leadership campaigns and is an active campaigner for the party..
