Paul Nicholson

Paul Nicholson brings over 20 years of experience in political management, campaign leadership, and strategic communications. His extensive knowledge of the Labour Party spans government, opposition, and preparations for government.

He has led and delivered multiple projects and campaigns for The Labour Party at the regional and national level. As the Director of Projects at the General Secretary's Office, he led projects for the party's organisational transition after the next general election, working closely with the senior leadership, political stakeholders, and external partners.

Previously, Paul oversaw regional operations and campaigns as Labour’s Regional Director for Yorkshire & The Humber and the South West of England. His leadership extended to both regional and national teams across five general elections. He also ran as a parliamentary candidate in 2001.

Before working for the Labour Party, Paul worked as a research scientist in air traffic management and carried out postgraduate research in artificial intelligence. He currently holds voluntary roles within the Labour Party, serves as a school governor, and also works on international projects to support political governance in countries such as Pakistan and Libya.
